You are important!
As B†B is a co-operative organization, your participation as a volunteer is of highest priority to our program. We cannot run an efficient program without volunteers to offer support to our teachers and to help supervise our children. You are immensely valued!
Upon signing the Participation Agreement and joining B†B, you agreed to volunteer aide during the school year. We make every effort to assign volunteer positions by taking into consideration any specific requests or extenuating situations on your behalf. Each mom will be assigned roughly the same number of volunteer aide slots (some in the nursery and/or classroom).
Once the volunteer schedule is made, in the event you cannot fulfill your obligation (due to an emergency or out of town trip, for example), it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to find a substitute volunteer with whom to swap days. You may make note of your swaps on the Master List at the desk.
If you have an emergency on Tuesday morning, please make every effort to secure an aide to cover your spot. Then, call or text Laura Rumage to let her know who will be covering for you. If you cannot find someone to cover for you, please call Laura.
On behalf of the B†B Leadership Team, we DO appreciate you and your faithfulness to the program! There are so many of you who consistently, willingly, and joyfully fulfill your obligation, and we greatly are blessed by you! Thanks so much!
What some of you may not realize: If you do not secure someone to cover your obligation on a given Tuesday, someone does fill it. Often it is the same mom or couple of moms who over and again work their slots AND then sacrifice free time by working one or more of yours. Maybe the day you didn’t show was the day she was going to read a book, call her mom, or catch up on grading schoolwork.
Your job really, really matters!
