HOW CAN MY FAMILY JOIN BEYOND †HE BLACKBOARD?
1. First, carefully explore our website to understand who we are and what we are all about.
2. Please pray about joining. We want to make sure that B†B is a good fit for your family.
3. Visit us during the spring Open House. Please email Laura Rumage [email protected] to register. Laura can give you a tour and
answer any questions you may have during your visit. Your children should never be left unattended during your visit.
4. Submit the required B†B Interest Survey below. We need to know a little bit about you and your family. Submitting the interest survey does not
commit you to our program. Our leadership team will contact you regarding additional information.
5. Finally, if your family and the B†B leadership team think joining would be beneficial, please submit all registration forms. During Open
Registration in March, you will able to download and print or submit electronically important registration information and documentation. Complete
and submit the following documents: Registration Form (one/child) and Participation Agreement (one/family). During Open Registration, you may
hand deliver these items to B†B or contact Laura for information about mailing your forms.
Please note: There are several reasons why your participation in our program may not be for the best. We are limited by the facility size, by class size, as well as by additional teacher restrictions regarding class size and age of students. We prefer to accept families who have a history of successful homeschooling, preferably for more than one full year as this shows a firm commitment and established devotion to the homeschooling lifestyle. If your student demonstrated problematic behavior in a more formal school setting, he/she may likely demonstrate the same behavior in our group, and unfortunately, we are unprepared to deal with such circumstances. Our allegiance is first and foremost to our participating family members who expect a positive, enriching, and safe academic learning environment for their children. Each application for participation in BtB will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Also, our program caps at around 100 students and anywhere between 40-50 families each year. Most of our currently enrolled families re-enroll which means there are very few openings available. We usually have a yearly waiting list of about 10 families. If you have already submitted the B†B Interest Survey for a previous academic year, we ask that you complete a new one for the upcoming year so we will have a current and up-to-date snapshot of your homeschooling environment and goals.
