B†B Substitute Teacher
Teachers: Do You Need a Sub?
It is your job to arrange for a substitute teacher in advance whenever possible.
The best place to start is the parent of a student in your class. They have a vested interest and are probably familiar with the material you are covering.
Save yourself some time and make sure the substitute teacher you attempt to contact is not serving as an aide for that day (check the Volunteer Aide Schedule). It is perfectly fine for your current aide to teach since she is probably familiar with your material and students. However, she must have an aide to assist her if she is acting as substitute teacher.
Also, if the substitute will need nursery care for her younger children, make sure the nursery is in session on that day as well (check the Nursery Schedule).
Then, let Laura Rumage [email protected] know who will be subbing for you.
Substitutes: Thank you so much for stepping in to help out!
